Inkstone
A brush that behaves like a brush: pressure, tilt and speed drive the tip, and the paper answers — raw xuan drinks the ink and blooms, sized xuan holds a crisp edge, a brush running dry leaves flying white. Everything is computed on the device, and nothing ever leaves it.
Not on the App Store yet. It is still being made — it will show up here when it ships.
What it does
A character a day, to write over
Forty-two sheets, starting with yong — the one character containing all eight fundamental strokes — through single characters, couplets and lines from Wang Wei and Su Shi. The model is a red trace under your ink; it never appears in what you export.
Or type your own
The bundled Kai models cover all of modern Simplified Chinese and common Traditional, so any name or line you want to practise can be laid out to trace.
Materials that actually differ
Wolf, goat and mixed hair; pine-soot and oil-soot ink; ten papers; the four famous inkstones. Grind the ink yourself and watch the well thicken. None of it is a filter.
Finish it properly
Sign it, date it, cut your own seal and press it. Pick a format and the proportions, the signature and the seal placement all follow. Export at full resolution with no watermark.
